Design Review Committee
(DRC)
This committee is provided for explicitly within the
neighborhood's
Design Guidelines (pdf), and is chartered with reviewing and
approving or rejecting all improvements that any of our residents proposes to
make to their house exterior or lot in Arapahoe Ridge. The committee's purpose
is to help us all to "preserve and maintain the design character, the value,
and the desirability and attractiveness of Arapahoe Ridge."
Below you will find all sorts of information intended to help you
in planning your house and lot improvements and in getting your plans approved
by the DRC.

NOTE: All improvement requests must be submitted directly to the
management company (see below for specifics). Please do NOT submit any official requests to
the DRC.
Requirements for a Complete Design & Improvement Request
Save yourself time and trouble: read this
first!
- Paint Requests
- When painting your house differently than its current color
scheme, please submit a completed design
request form, photos of your house, photos of your neighbors houses,
and photos of the house across the street from your house. Please read and
follow the Arapahoe Ridge Paint Guidelines,
Tips and Palettes, before submitting your request.
You must receive
approval from the DRC before you
paint.
- Non-Paint Requests
- According to the
Arapahoe Ridge Design Guidelines (pdf), each Design &
Improvement request must include a completed design request form, a plot plan,
architectural drawings and elevations. Painting requests are an exception to
this rule (see above item). Plot plans cannot be drawings; they must be the
official plot plan that can be obtained from the Town of Erie.

- Filling Out the Request Form
- As of June of 2009, you may expedite the request and
review process by filling out the design
request form completely online! If you prefer to print and mail the
completed request, please download
this request form
(pdf). You may fill out the form and print it, or you may print it first
and fill it out by hand.
- Submitting Requests
- All requests must be submitted either through the online
process OR directly to the management company at the address provided below.

- What To Expect
- You may expect the DRC to consider your request within 30
days of receiving it. They will contact you with their approval or
rejection.
Please be sure you do not begin work on your improvement
until you have received DRC approval.
