Pool Rules

1. Lifeguard hours fluctuate. Parental supervision of children is required at all times.
2. The lifeguard is in charge of the pool while on duty and can close the pool at any time due to weather (lightning, storms, cold, etc.).
3. The lifeguard has disciplinary authority and may remove any person from the pool for violation of the rules.
4. Lifeguards have the authority to revoke any and all pool privileges for the season.
5. The lifeguard shall not be considered a baby sitter.
6. The pool and pool area are for the exclusive use of Arapahoe Ridge homeowners. Guests are limited to 6 per family per day. Residents shall, in all cases, be responsible for the conduct of their guests.
7. The gates to the pool area shall be kept closed and locked at all times to exclude uninvited guests and to prevent liability exposure.
8. No glass containers allowed.
9. No pets allowed in the clubhouse or the pool area.
10. No bikes, skateboards, rollerblades, etc.
11. Anyone causing damage will be required to pay all costs associated with that damage.
12. No Smoking is allowed anywhere on the property including the pool area, clubhouse and parking lot.
PARENTS - PLEASE REMEMBER YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
13. Children must be supervised at all times.
14. Only children 7 and under are allowed in the baby pool.

20. The restrooms are not a play area.
21. Swim suits are required. No cut-off garments are allowed as they can clog the filtration system.

Safeguards

Pool Closure Due To Incident:
The pool will be closed if any incident results in contamination such as vomiting, bleeding, human waste or any potentially toxic substance. Please respect your neighbors by preventing sick or injured bathers from using the pool.
Pool Closure Due To Lightning:
The pool will be closed if there is any potential threat from lightning strikes.
Buddy Check:
The Guards will occasionally be calling for a "Buddy Check" which requires that every person under the age of 13 physically be next to their responsible adult to verify supervision. No one under 13 is allowed in the pool area without direct supervision. Any child between the ages of 13 and 18 are limited to no more than 3 others that they are responsible for. We have had an on-going problem of kids 8-12 being at the pool without any adult supervision and with 14 year old saying they're responsible for 6, 8, 10 other kids while they don't even know where those kids are or even still in the area. We ask all adults to ensure that all children are safe.
Monitor the Bathrooms:
We have experienced damage to the pool bathrooms. We also have groups of children running the showers (which costs you directly) for lengthy periods of time using them as an extended "warm me up" vehicle which is leaving the floors REALLY wet and we've already had several slips and falls. Please help out and check the bathrooms and escort your children.
