Arapahoe Ridge Trash and Recycling

Arapahoe Ridge uses community wide residential trash and recycling pickup, which is paid by our HOA management company from your dues. The disposal company in use is:

Trash and Recycling Schedule

  • Trash and recyclables are collected every Tuesday unless the day before was:
    • Memorial Day,
    • Independence Day,
    • Labor Day,
    • Christmas, or
    • New Year's Day,

    in which case pick-up will be on Wednesday.
  • Have your trash and recycling out by 7:00am

Please adhere to the following Trash Rules and Regulations:

  • Use blue disposal containers provided by Waste Connections. If you need extra containers contact Waste Connections and they will deliver them free of charge.
  • Position containers on the street edge of your sidewalk, with the handle away from the street to allow the automatic trash truck lifting mechanism to function properly.
  • Please bag all trash.
  • Anything outside of trash cans is subject to extra charges.
  • 24 hour advance notice is required for large item removal (furniture/appliance). There will be extra charges for large items.
  • No hazardous waste, aerosol, paint, batteries, propane or other gas canisters, computer monitors, oil or chemicals.

      Open Fridays 8-5 and 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month
  • All disposal containers must be stored out of site by the morning after pickup.

RECYCLING IS EASY!!

Please adhere to the following Recycling Rules and Regulations:

  • Please place your recycling away from your trash.
  • Do not place trash or recycling next to your mailbox.
  • Your recycling will be picked up the same day as your trash but not with the same truck.
  • When you move please make arrangements to have the trash company pick up your containers.
  • Waste Connections will take all of your recycling, provided it is not contaminated with non-recyclable items.
  • If you have more recycling than containers allow, please feel free to use your own containers. (No plastic bags)

The Following Items May Be Combined In 1 Bin:

  • Metals:
    Aluminum, tin and steel - must rinse cans, food trays and foil. NO aerosol cans, hangers, wire or scrap aluminum.
  • Plastics:
    #1 through #7 plastics - must rinse and crush; please discard caps, lids and pumps.
    NO motor oil bottles or bottles that contained hazardous materials.
    NO tubs, bags, foam or any other plastics.
  • Glass:
    Bottles, jars - must rinse.
    NO windows or mirror glass, light bulbs, drinking glasses, vases, ceramics, cookware or broken glass.
  • Paper:
    Junk mail, office paper, magazines, catalogs, newspapers, inserts, telephone books, paper board (cereal and tissue boxes) and brown paper bags.
    NO frozen food boxes, food-contaminated paper, pet food bags, tissues, napkins or paper towels.
  • Cardboard:
    Corrugated cardboard must be flattened and cut down into pieces no larger than 12"x24". Please place pieces under bin or tie with twine to keep from blowing into street.
    NO wax coated or food-contaminated boxes (pizza, fruit, etc.).
  • Other:
    Milk cartons and juice boxes must be rinsed and flattened. Please remove and discard any plastic spouts or straws.
